NetStumbler v0.4.0 Private

Checker on 7 May 2013

NetStumbler allows you to detect Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) using 802.11b, 802.11a and 802.11g. You can use it to verify that your network is set up the way you intended, find locations with poor coverage in your WLAN, and detect other networks that might be causing interference with your network, etc.

System Requirements: Win2K / WinXP
Writes settings to: Windows registry. But given the nature of the application, I think it can be accepted as portable.
Dependencies: MFC71.DLL
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the installer and install to the default folder C:\Program Files\Network Stumbler.
  2. Then copy all files (except uninst.exe) to a folder of your choice. Also copy nsndis5.sys and nsndis50.dll from C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 to the same folder.
  3. Uninstall the program.
  4. Launch NetStumbler.exe.

You may also need to download MFC71.DLL and MSVCR71.DLL and move them to the same directory as the program.
