AutoClip Mini v2.1.1.0

Checker on 30 Dec 2012

AutoClip Mini saves time by automatically adding any selected text to the clipboard. Pasting is also simplified by using the middle mouse button.

The program is a trimmed down version of the also-portable AutoClipX with fewer features.

Category:
System Requirements: WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: Application folder
Stealth: ? Yes. AutoClip Mini writes a config.ini file in a config sub-folder of its program directory. A 'Run' registry entry is written only if the user wishes to start AutoClip Mini with Windows.
Unicode support: Yes
Path portability: Automatic relative path (eg. ..\..\personal\work.doc)
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the installer and extract to a temporary folder
  2. Move the contents of {app} to a folder of your choice
  3. Create a config subfolder and place an empty text file config.ini in this folder (config\config.ini)
  4. Launch autoclipm.exe
What's new?
  • added automatic detection of the primary mouse button to accommodate users who have reversed the primary and secondary mouse buttons (typically left-handed users)
  • removed key delay setting from config UI - this is now handled internally
  • many changes to update checking function
  • improved appearance of tabs in config UI
  • several internal optimizations
  • fixed a bug where it was possible for the update checking function to return an incorrect result
  • possibly fixed a bug where the config UI could be displayed off-screen
  • possibly fixed a bug where a modifier key (Alt, Ctrl, Shift) may be left in a pressed state

currently the portable zip package is MIA after an update. The zipped INSTALLER will install-copy-uninstall fine and uniextract works as well copy the {app} folder.

Instructions were outdated (the screenshot still is): download installer, UniExtract, copy and rename the extracted {app} folder, create a 'config' sub-folder and place an empty 'config.ini' file inside...
