Ultra File Search Lite quickly finds files, folders and text on your local, network, or external media. Ultra File Search Lite allows you to specify several file masks and drives/folders at the same time; it is able to sort them according to their properties (e. g. modified date) and find files that contain one or more specific words or sentences.
This utility does not use background indexing.

Are you sure you're downloading the portable version? It does create that Exports folder, but not in My Documents and alongside ULTRAFILESARCH.exe . You're doing something wrong.

Re-downloaded the zip file, and the contents (exe file) are different now from the first one I downloaded. Now it no longer creates anything in the "My Documents" folder, and several ini files have been created in the app's folder for its settings. MUCH BETTER. I'm not quite sure how the original zip I downloaded had the wrong exe in it...

Ultra File Search 1.4 on my Win XP works well, is simple, and is blazingly fast.

I love it.
Yes, I like Windows 7 Search when it looks for something in My outlook mail or my web history.
But If I am just looking for a file or files with wildcard / date modified / size -- just like Windows XP used to do, ultrafilesearch does it very well, and shows me what folder it is in.
This standalone executable stays on my flash drives and on all of my PCs

For version 2.0.0.11335, the lite version is freeware. The standard version is shareware.

Shouldn't the entry be renamed to Ultra File Search Lite? BTW, v2.1.1.12019 is available.

It seems to always create a "\UltraFileSearch\Exports" folder in "My Documents". The folder is empty, but this isn't exactly what I'd consider stealth.
