Toppy v1.0.0.9

webfork on 28 Mar 2015

Toppy is simple utility that allows you to easily control which windows stay on top simply by using keyboard hot keys. After you have run Toppy, pressing WinKey + ArrowUp will set the active window to stay on top, and pressing WinKey + ArrowDown will set the window back to normal.

Unlike some similar programs, this one seems to work on 'child windows'.

It's easy to create an Autohotkey script to do the same. See http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/13784/keep-a-window-on-top-with-a-handy-autohotkey-script/

This same thing can be done using Dexpot (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1449) by right-clicking the Dexpot icon, choosing "Settings - Controls - Title Bars" tab. Then you can customize it to one of several key + mouse combinations so it won't interfere with other apps.

FYI, WinRoll does a similar job and is smaller.

Does write to registry though.

Win+Up and Win+Down are reserved for system (maximize/minimize) since Windows 7.
