STP (Scan to PDF) lets you convert paper documents into PDF files. Functions include creating JPEG files from scanned images, PDF creation from separate JPEG files, preview with basic image editing functions (rotate, crop), external preview and editing, variable compression/quality of PDF pages, etc.

I get the best pdf scan output using IrfanView: smallest pdf file size and highest font quality (no OCR, obviously).
What is your experience?

Buggy with many crashes. 90% of the time it scans at an angle messing up the entire document. Tried to scan a five-page document which took over an hour due to the multiple crashes and skewed scans. Not worth the effort.

Spybot did not like this program. When STP was run, it tried to disable Teatimer. Spybot then gave the following:
"Encountered and terminated Rbot.skp in stp.exe"
