ZeroRemote is a tiny remote desktop application. It supports audio playback, file transfer, alpha blending and minimal resource usage. The single EXE contains both the client and the server, and any files transferred automatically goes into the recv subfolder. Optional command lines switches may be used to launch connections with specified settings automatically.

This is fantastic! This is the portable remote control solution I've been looking for.
I just get a blank screen when connected, odd. Both machines have DX9 installed and connect fine but still just get a black blank screen. Any ideas?
Clowns: I'm getting exactly the same problem. Tried several things including disabling the firewall to no avail. Anybody knows the solution.
@cLoWnS, Aiadi: ZeroRemote (like most remote desktop programs) may have issues if your remote system is playing full screen video. For example, when I remote into a Boxee home theater PC I can control what's on the screen but I can't see any of it. You may also want to make sure that the port your ZeroRemote server is using is forwarded correctly on your router if applicable: http://portforward.com/
Re-tried this from one laptop to another and worked fine ... just wont work from my laptop to my server ... odd. I'm not running any video, just trying to view the desktop. Not sure what the problem is. Both systems run through the same firewalled router.
You can often get screen-capturing software (whether it be basic screenshots or full video) to be able to capture video by reducing the hardware acceleration slider in advanced display options.
Thanks FPharmacy (nice site by the way). Unfortunately still no joy despite LogMeIn and TeamViewer working absolutely fine. Seems tp be some flaw with this software.
SpeedCat: Using google translate, it appears that yes, ZeroRemote is the successor to IgRemote
It would be nice to have the actual link to the file, as even with Google translate, I can't make heads nor tails of that site. Perhaps the author's site is a little to... scripted?
btw: I use uvnc all the time and like it quite well.
Tried, but not so good, but I still like LogMeIn and TeamViewer more...

@Tech person: just scroll a little farther down the page - the download links are in english.
The Software connects to the remote IP adress 84.234.118.1
Any Ideas why?
SHIFT key doesn't work for me. I am using it on LAN. It's bad that it has no reverse connection. All my VNC connection are behind NAT.
Oh, very sweet app! Rarely portable Remote Desktop with File Transfer feature.

Caution: the actual download link is:
http://software-files-a.cnet.com/s/software/11/38/23/22/cnet2_zeroremote125_zip.exe?token=1338612893_f22ba1cf77fed1bedc086f801d1fc7ca&lop=link&ptype=3001&ontid=7240&siteId=4&edId=3&spi=ad2c1a65bbc084dc4f142847d2db820a&pid=11382322&psid=75184627&isDlm=1&fileName=cnet2_zeroremote125_zip.exe
The file you get is: cnet2_zeroremote125_zip.exe
Now google for: cnet bundled with crapware.
Among the results you will get: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/12/09/download_nmap_toolbar_row_latest/
which is a reliable source of information.
I recommend: Do not download this file! ... or be ready to spend hours cleaning your computer from the cnet crap.
