Hm hm: Think this program is a smart commercial scam.
It is not the first time i have seen this kind of attempt to lure people to buy another program.
Put it in the bin where it belongs. [2009-08-24 16:35]
pcbrewer: Yep, well said...just deleted it! [2009-08-25 19:45]
Mike: No, don't delete it! Run it through a file shredder utilizing the Gutmann 35-pass overwrite scheme. I don't care for this one, either. [2009-08-26 14:38]
a: Shouldn't you're anti-virus cover this kind of thing. I would hope so! [2009-08-28 19:44]
Michael: Antivirus apps are notoriously bad at detecting svchost intrusions.
I can see why the scum who write viruses and distribute trojans would hate something like this, but wonder why anyone else would. [2009-08-30 01:27]
Bill: I could never hate a free application unless it was total garbage. It's what keeps me coming back to this site. This one isn't total garbage but it is limited to looking for one type of problem that the authors have a solution for, on their website, for a fee. It's a marketing gimmick. Can't hate that, but don't have to buy into it either. Can always just keep this app in your toolbox as one more specialized tool. [2009-08-31 16:09]
mars: Tried to run "Svchost Process Analyzer", but 'commodo internet security' decided to quarantine "Backdoor.win32.Blackhole.sj@2950603"
I don't know if this is a Trojan, So i'm taking no chances. [2009-09-01 23:49]

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
