the steps decribed by joby_toss
worked with making Marxio portable - have the config subfolder in the app folder, somewere; so, it saves settings here, not in Users... etc.

I enjoyed the program, and used it for a while, then I forgot about it. I felt a need to run it, so started it back up. It had worked just fine for a while here, but it popped up that error, "Encode date error."
BTW, the version that I had installed was 1.12.2

Looking at the projects website: http://marxio-tools.net/en/marxio-timer.php
It shows an "improvement" that was to be removed from a future version, although I don't know if it was ever implemented or done...
That 'feature'?
-> 60 days time limit called AntiBug system

I altered the date, and was able to run the program without any dialog or popup. Timebugs :(

Had problem with 1.13 like everyone else with the error

Found this Portable Marxio Timer version that works though

I found a number of old versions of this app at http://filepig.org/download/marxio_timer_1.11/

I've heard that 1.12 was a timebomb, and so I'd presume that any of the 1.13 versions I've seen references too are also such. So it seems 1.11 is the last "good" version. No standalone zips though, and the installer needs administrative privileges, so I can't run this installer at work :(
