[Anonymous] markKudos for sharing this with everyone. I think it is highly commendable that there are people out there willing to share their knowledge and hard work with others. Although no expert, I have tried this app on a couple of non-portable apps and am very impressed with the results.
Again, many thanks redllar.

[Anonymous] Holy MolyBrilliant portable maker. Thanks redllar! [2008-12-13 04:44]

[Anonymous] tomcatI was confused by the 3 versions, one of which is called Portable and the others Alpha. I downloaded the most recent one, but it said you also need the previous version as well. Except there are 2 previous versions.

I tried to do what it said about replacing the files of the previous version(s), but when I tried to run the portable exe it failed, saying it should be in another folder.

I suggest that the versions be better labeled as to what they are and do, but preferably that only one complete and self-sufficient version be created.

[Anonymous] crownixxHi tomcat. I have played with JauntePE for quite a time. New users have difficulty to start playing JauntePE since they are not following the initial development and some stories behind it. Aware with the problem, me and Napiophelios together create an unofficial website for JauntePE to help new users get the right information in one place. It can be access at below link. Hope that help

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
