[Anonymous] Sergey from MoscowThis is a fantastic program. Lots of options, tools, brushes, layer support. Kudos. [2007-12-18 08:10]

[Anonymous] ThomasPretty light-weight painting and image manipulation program. For me, it has just the right balance between feature-richness and ease of use. Thumbs up! [2007-12-18 12:07]

[Anonymous] New York RulesFollowed your directions and it works. Cool. I couldn't get the X-wrapper of last version to work. Seems cool. Doe this have much different, or better functionality compared to GIMP? I'm learning that program slowly with the help of meetthegimp.org screencasts. Seems like some stuff is similar, similar code, which is good for newbies like myself. This, GIMP, Inkscape, XnView, OO --- laptop loves this website! [2007-12-19 07:47]

[Anonymous] NumanoidWhen trying to install this programme on my USB stick, I'm told that I have to have administrator rights of the computer I'm working on to be able to do it. How can this programme be portal then? [2007-12-20 11:31]

[Anonymous] CharleeThis is a good program, since I have knowledge with Adobe Photoshop, I found this to be very similar to it. I think of it as a good slim down alternative of photoshop =) [2007-12-27 22:20]

[Anonymous] NumanoidI downloaded and extracted the Portable zip package, but to be able to run the programme I had to rename the file "Default Nozzles.tmp" found in the "Standard\Nozzles" directory to "Default Nozzles.noz"

The programme looks fantastic though, like a freeware Photoshop :-)

[Anonymous] NumanoidI just noticed that the file I had a problem with is indeed named by the right name in the zip directory ("Default Nozzles.noz"), so why did it change it's name when I extracted it? [2008-03-14 12:18]

[Anonymous] CharleeStill the BEST and getting BETTER AND BETTER!!! oh and...hushpuppies? NO THANKS!!! The GIMP SUCKS!! [2008-08-23 21:44]

[Anonymous] AndyHaving learned on Photoshop, I definitely prefer Artweaver to GIMP. [2008-09-05 18:45]

[Anonymous] ZtormbringerEvery time I run this program, from a USB stick or from the My Documents folder of the host computer it crashes (i.e. hangs) and then will not cannot be closed or ended not even with the Widows close program prompt and Windows always pops up to say it has a problem and must close but it does not and will not. [2008-09-16 16:09]

[Anonymous] memothis applications is very nice alternative to Photoshop on basit edittings. I find it much more useful than gimp. is is also much smaller and faster than gimp. [2009-02-20 00:20]

[Anonymous] RonFanThis is NOT portable anymore... I will wait until the portable version comes out. [2009-10-11 16:26]

[Anonymous] Tom@RonFan there never was any portable version.
You need to use Universal Extractor (*) to make a "somewhat" portable installation all by your own.

(*) I tried to extract it with 7z instead of UE but it didn't work for the current installer.

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
