taskbar shuffle may have slightly more features such as closing taskbar items on middle click and arranging your system tray icons, but...

taskix simply does as it states... you can drag-and-drop your taskbar items to the place you want to in the taskbar

it doesn't do anything else... no fancy animations while dragging and dropping... nothing!

 Paul Moore: Taskix seems to occasionally get windows confused for me. I've had a few windows which simply won't come to the top when I click on them - they stay behind the others.
