DaveI: Tried on a secure website...Didn't work (All three methods)...May work on other websites... [2007-07-22 09:53]

Author of Shellfish: I found a bug in Shellfish that prevented it from changing methods. The Clipboard method works for webpages. I have released an update that fixes this bug. [2007-07-22 16:18]
keiffer: Direct Paste mode did nothing.
Clipboard mode worked okay but my clipboard monitor captured everything.
Control Send mode worked okay. Don't know anything about this mode. Is it safe? I didn't see a help file. [2007-07-22 20:05]
keiffer: Sorry, should have stated that I was using 1.0.1. I just tried it here at work on a Windows 2000 computer. None of the modes worked. And the drop down menu doesn't work. It doesn't drop down so I just use the cursor arrows. I tried it on Amazon and Buy.com. Maybe it's just the PCs I use. [2007-07-23 12:11]
Author of Shellfish: Direct Paste works only with standard windows controls. ControlSend sends keystrokes to a specific control, not just to whoever might grab it. It might be possible to capture it though.
Win 2K is not officially supported due to not having access to one. (Although work computers may be locked up a bit.) [2007-07-23 16:08]
DaveI: What is the "Control Send" method? This mode works now but where is this info being stored? (Where does it need to be deleted?) [2007-07-23 16:10]
Author of Shellfish: ControlSend uses the AutoIt ControlSend function. ControlSend sends keystrokes to a certian control. It probably will not be detected by a keylogger but it might. [2007-07-23 18:01]
Kevin: Is somebody pulling our leg here? This program version is almost 2 and a half years old (July 2007)! "Direct paste" (never heard about anything like that) doesn't work at all. Obviously not worth even downloading, pure waste of time... [2009-11-17 15:50]

All HTML tags will be removed from your comment. URLs (http, https, ftp) will be automatically detected and hyperlinked. I reserve the right to delete irrelevant, frivolous or offensive comments. For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
