ShowMyPC is an easy-to-use and secure remote access program. The source and destination computers use the same software to and operation of a remote computer requires only a password (no IP address needed). This temporary password is automatically generated when you start the viewing session and then communicated to the remote user by email, phone or other means.
The program combines VNC with an open-source SSH forwarding client. If you have access to your own SSH server, you can use it instead of the one provided.
Note: This program started including advertisements during runtime after it was added to the database.

I had no problem with the download. Simply press the white button (the one with the white arrow within the green circle) and the download will appear immediately.
v3151
This has to be one of the most irritating and commercialized products on this site. The download link doesn't take you to a direct download, but instead to sales page with various "checkout" options for buying the product. Should be seriously considered for removal from this site because if this is freeware, it's definitely not obvious.
v3151
is this still freeware?
V3105
For Windows users (I think this is available only for MS Win) there is Team Viewer - free for personal use, and its "regular" installer can be made to act as a portable app (i.e., running with no installation), or you can get the portable version (PortableApps.com has a .paf for it).
TeamViewer does the same job, and they have it in portable version as well. I use it at work, and it goes through our SonicWall firewall. You can also check PoratbleApps.com for paf package.
This is the best thing, try the latest Showmypc version, it has many new improvement in terms of connectivity, we use it in our office all the time, even though we have a webex account, it is dead simple.
just get tunnelier (portable) it will let you connect an SSH tunnel to any SSH server (proxy supported) and then you tunnel a connection to any pc the SSH server can see, using any port.
Example, I have a buffalo NAS box at home running SSH. I use tunnelier to connect to it and I can then remote desktop any machine on my home network. I also use it as a proxy so none of my web traffic passes through my offices proxy (nice and clean).
It is always worked the best for be, I never had problem with any firewall, hopefuully they will add proxy support. Showmypc is much better than the competition.
TP109: I just checked this out and I couldn't figure out how to download the program so I finally gave up and pointed the entry to a mirror. Thanks for the note.
