Synopsis: SQLiteSpy is a fast and compact GUI database manager for SQLite. It reads SQLite 3 files and executes SQL against them. Its graphical user interface makes it very easy to explore, analyze and manipulate SQLite databases.
Writes settings to: Application folder
How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Delete World.db3. Launch SQLiteSpy.exe.
Stealth [?]: Yes
Unicode support: Yes
License: Freeware
System Requirements: Win95 / Win98 / WinME / WinNT / Win2K / WinXP / Vista
What's new: >>
  • Update built-in DB engine to SQLite 3.7.2 (DISQLite3 2.3.1).
  • Print some sqlite3_stmt_status() performance counters to the status bar.
  • Faster processing of large SQL scripts.
  • Fix table mode browsing (double clicking on a table name) for tables which use some of the INTEGER PRIMARY KEY aliases as column names. Output a warning if the table can not be browsed because all three names (ROWID, OID, or _ROWID_) are in use by the table. This sould be very rare, however.

[Anonymous] TranscontinentalWith Firefox and Chrome browsers the SQLite database has come to public attention. This manager is most welcome. I'm giving it a try! [2009-12-10 16:38]

[Anonymous] TranscontinentalI would have loved to try it, but after having spent 300 seconds on the developer's homepage still haven't found the download link. A pain in the neck!!! LET THERE BE LINKS AND LET THEM NE VISIBLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD !!! (that's for portablefreeware.com, not for this nice place!) [2009-12-10 16:49]

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
