[Anonymous] KaraTried it based on your recommendation.
So far, it seems great. I haven't tried 'sets' yet, but I like what it does. Some uniques features too - info/help tab.

Thanks for the info. This site is the best!

[Anonymous] BerryThere's a new version out which significantly enhances the program. Give it a try. [2007-07-19 10:06]

[Anonymous] WebforkInterface is U-G-L-Y. Someone's got to tell the developer that overuse of cyan hurts my eyes. In fact, they appear to have an e-mail address ... [2007-10-02 16:05]

[Anonymous] jurorbeen using this for quite a while and like it. they (developers) also have a new notekeeping program NoteFrog which is freeware and a shareware version. [2008-11-08 14:16]

[Anonymous] grahamtSince the new version (2.8) has been released and updated for Vista, ClipGuru no longer conforms to the accepted definition of Portable Software. The clips are now stored in appdata in the User's Profile and so contravenes the requirement that, "...nothing be stored on the host machine..." and "nothing be left behind on the host machine...". The ClipGuru guys are aware of this issue and are working to provide a resolution that will restore true portability. [2009-04-21 09:14]

[User] Onesimus PrimeThe website has only the text "ClipGuru has left the building," along with a picture of Elvis waving goodbye. And the DL link no longer works. This does not bode well for ClipGuru... [2010-05-27 07:55]

[User] Onesimus PrimeApparently there is a version 2.9.2 "in the wild," but I was unable to find it. Version 2.9.0 is available from
http://www.freewarefiles.com/ClipGuru_program_25970.html
It MAY be portable once again, as there is a "clipguru.ini" in the app directory...

All HTML tags will be removed from your comment. URLs (http, https, ftp) will be automatically detected and hyperlinked. I reserve the right to delete irrelevant, frivolous or offensive comments. For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
