V0.2.1.19
If this project is no longer in development, does anyone have the source? I'm not a developer by trade, but re-setting up the project is something I'd like to take on.
V0.2.1.19
M@tty: PortableTor is a great program. Thanks for whatever work you've done on that and I hope you'll pick it back up or fork it if the other developers have moved on.
I apologise for the lack of activity on PortableTor. I had been keeping it up to date but I stopped having contact with Steve/Angela so releases weren't made public. It's a sad end to a program that was clearly popular from the number of downloads. I'm also not sure what's going on with the SourceForge project as neither of us are listed as developers anymore...
Thanks but this is an old version.
It seems like portable TOR is dead now...
Thanks legobas - download link updated.
Download link does not exist anymore! (404)
Try right-clicking on Torbutton and go to "Preferences". Select "Use custom proxy settings" and make sure the HTTP proxy port is 8118. Alternatively try FoxyProxy.
I think I may have done something wrong here... I installed the latest version onto my drive fine and I can get TOR running, but then I can't get my browsers running o it from there. I use the portable FireFox and have torbutton, which has worked for me in the past, but whenever I try to use torbutton with portableTOR, it asks if polipo is running properly. Did the install go wrong, or do i have to try using the normal proxy setting for FF?
P.S. I really want this to work because I really like TOR and it is really hard to find anything like it when you live under the great firewall of china, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
